Created in partnership with nonprofit Touched by Type 1, Hannah’s Story shines a light on Hannah - a warrior, advocate, and inspiration. In this emotional and powerful short film, Hannah shares her journey with Type 1 Diabetes, from the daily challenges she faces to the triumphs that define her resilience. Her story is not only one of survival, but also of empowerment, awareness, and hope for the T1D community and beyond.

Hodges Film has worked closely with Elizabeth Forrest, founder of Touched by Type 1, since 2014 on annual awareness campaigns designed to educate the public, raise funds for a cure, and inspire those affected by Type 1 Diabetes to thrive.

“Winning four Telly Awards for Hannah’s Story is an incredible honor,” says Rebecca Hodges, director and founder of Hodges Film. “This recognition underscores the power of Hannah’s voice and the mission of Touched by Type 1. It has been a privilege to help share her journey with the world.”

The 46th Annual Telly Awards received a record-breaking number of entries from top-tier media companies and creators worldwide. Vanessa Serrao, VP of National Geographic Impact Story Lab, added: “It’s an honor to be recognized for gripping storytelling that inspires positive change in the world.”
